School for us is a collective endeavour. We value mutually respectful relationships between pupils and staff. We are constantly seeking ways to involve children in decision making and this is reflected in whole school meetings and other democratic processes that happen on a daily basis.

Learning is woven into the context of fictional organisations, co-created with teachers and pupils. Through these they encounter the curriculum, already engaged in the mission of their ‘company’. This approach, ‘Mantle of the Expert’, draws children in naturally, gives them agency within their learning, and enables them to see the interconnectedness of ideas and the wider world.
