ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Headteacher to lead our vibrant and thriving school community at Reedham Primary and Nursery School. As Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the school, fostering a culture of academic excellence, personal growth, and community engagement. You will be expected to teach one day per week.

Reedham Primary and Nursery School serves the picturesque area of Reedham in the heart of Broadland and within easy reach of the coast. Reedham’s combination of community spirit, historic charm, and natural beauty – sitting as it does on the River Yare – make it an attractive place to live and work with excellent links to the surrounding countryside and the historic city of Norwich. Reedham Primary and Nursery School is currently an associate member of the Consortium Academy Trust.

OUR MISSION

At Reedham Primary School, through a positive community ethos, we listen, engage, and nurture a can-do attitude to prepare all learners for their future lives, enabling and enjoying learning within the context of a rapidly changing technological society.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  1. Provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the school that raises aspirations and drives academic performance.
  2. Champion a culture that encourages initiative and accountability and builds on the quality of leadership at all levels.
  3. Deliver a rich and varied curriculum that meets pupils’ needs in an ever-changing world.
  4. Develop effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders across the community to fulfil the schools’ goals.

We are seeking a candidate with the ability, creativity, drive and ambition to lead our school. You will possess leadership qualities and have taken on additional responsibilities in your career to date.  You will be able to demonstrate the flair to make great things happen and that will take Reedham Primary and Nursery School to the next level. You will be committed to further developing a strong team of teachers and support staff to deliver a culture of continuous school improvement.

Building on the ethos of Reedham Primary and Nursery School, you will foster an environment in which learning continues to thrive and where students are at the heart of everything.

In return for your energy, passion, and ambition, we offer:

  • the opportunity to lead a small school into the next phase of its development.
  • a supportive environment in which to grow your career as a visionary and strategic school leader.
  • the opportunity to work with enthusiastic children who are well-behaved, motivated, and committed to their learning.
