AddressHealth and Safety Advisor, site based, permanent salaried role working for a well-respected Civil Engineering employer based in North Wales. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety your current and previous employment history will be within Heavy Civils Engineering or Construction, working as an accomplished HSE Advisor. Working on a key environmental project in rural Wales requires a professional and diligent HSE Advisor, someone who has plenty of relevant experience supporting construction teams and supply chain on all Health and safety matters.
Ideally educated to Degree Level Construction, NEBOSH certified, with current knowledge of all UK Health and Safety Legislation is critical to this role, with a passion for operating to best practice, assisting in the production of health risk assessments, consistently looking at accident prevention and overall employee welfare requirements. Offered with a salary of £55k circa, excellent employee benefits and paid subsistence (if not living locally), this vacancy is fully site based.
As Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for the delivery and assessment of all site- based HSE training and staff induction, ensuring that everyone on site adheres to and maintain exceptional levels of HSE awareness and Safety. Providing HSE advise and support, consistently looking for improvements whilst completing all HSE regulated documented and accident reporting.
Your career will demonstrate HSE knowledge when working in challenging and difficult situations, such as working at height, underground, confined spaces and with heavy civil plant equipment. The ability to communicate with all levels of staff, key stakeholders, HSE inspectors and auditors and the client requires exceptional levels of professionalism. The need to complete and record accurate HSE documentation, reports and minutes meeting notes is key; therefore knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) would be beneficial.
