Health and Safety and Compliance Manager

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working alongside a long-standing manufacturing company based in Huddersfield on a permanent basis. This is a superb opportunity to work with a small, close-knit team where you will be responsible for all Health and Safety, and Compliance within the business.

You will be supporting the General Manager of the business and the wider teams in terms of Health and Safety management on site, ISO certification, and facility general management. You must have previous or current experience working within compliance and Health and Safety, where you are responsible for supporting the team in all areas of compliance and H&S. You will be reporting to the Director and Finance Manager who care and value its employees.

Responsibilities:

• Health and Safety Management on Site
• Environmental Management
• Management of compliance systems around ISO 9001/14001 and 45001.
• Management of JOSCAR compliance systems
• Support the wider team in areas of compliance and H&S.
• Supplier conformance management
• Management of risk assessments and corrective actions
• Health and safety management experience. IOSH and NEBOSH are preferred.
• Environmental management experience
• Quality assurance management experience
• Implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 systems.
• Ability to work with industry-specific systems such as JOSCAR.
• Preferred Knowledge of legal compliance. Packaging waste regulations and international sanctions experience
• Knowledge of site maintenance and Compliance, such as LOLER, SEMA, PAT, Legionella control, etc.
• Budget planning.
• Training management.
• Work as part of a team, including sales, purchasing, and distribution.
• Supplier and contactor monitoring with supply chain management
• Risk assessment and risk management.

You will be rewarded with a salary of up to £36,500, including 22 days of holiday + bank, three times death in service and free parking. This is a 37.5-hour week, Monday-Friday, working for a well-established and growing business in Huddersfield.
