Health and Safety Coordinator
£35,000 to £40,000 (opportunity to progress)
Our busy production / manufacturing client in Huntingdon are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to help lead and implement change across the production facilities, warehousing and offices within this busy factory setting.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll need to be engaging, encouraging and develop a Health and Safety focused culture onsite.
Key requirements for the Health and Safety Coordinator:
- An Existing track record in a production or manufacturing industry
- NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
- Hold the ability to build relationships across departments
- Able to bring policies to life & deliver reasoning
Some of the Day to day responsibilities for the Health and Safety Coordinator
- Advising on hazardous materials and waste management issues.
- Supporting on-site visitors and contractors.
- Inducting any new employees, visitors and contractors on the Health and Safety systems.
- Reviewing safe systems of the work place and carry out inspections to identify any equipment that is not safe, also inspections of the working conditions, practices, fire hazards and produce reports and recommendations on how to correct and problems.
- Preparing Health and Safety strategies and developing policies
- Carrying out safety audits when required.
- Conducting and completing various Health and Safety assessments, such as DSE, COSHH and risk assessments.
- Ensuring fire safety audits are completed.
- Managing accident and incident reports / investigations and any associated paperwork.
The Health and Safety Coordinator is a Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm position, although the site does work 24 hours a day.
