Irwin and Colton have been engaged on an exciting new opportunity with an Independent Primary School in Chelsea who are looking to hire a new Health and Safety Coordinator to head up all Health and Safety responsibilities across the site. The role will involve the management of Health and Safety policies and initiatives, as well as carrying out risk assessments and encouraging a positive Health and Safety culture amongst staff members.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Coordinator will include:
Provide effective administrative support for all Health and Safety and compliance related matters.Collate risk assessments from across the School, addressing any actions arising, working closely with teaching staff, the Heads and the Educational Visits'Conduct safety audits following the advice of the School's Consultant.Monitor and manage accident and incident reportsOrganise and track mandatory Health and Safety and compliance training for School staff, ensuring that all staff keep their training up–to–date Deliver training when required (such as Risk Assessments, areas of occupational risk, or changes in legislation).The successful Health and Safety Coordinator will have:
Minimum of a NEBOSH General QualificationExperience in a Health and Safety roleExcellent communication skillsStrong IT skillsMeticulous, systematic and reliable approach to workThe organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
