Health and Safety Manager
Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire
Hours: Monday – Friday
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Our prestigious client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their leading team in Stroud!
You will formulate and uphold H&S policies whilst creating and implementing H&S plans in alignment with legal requirements. The ideal candidate will also hold a valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety and will be experienced in assessing practices, procedures, and carrying out risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities of a Health and Safety Manager:
- Deliver training sessions and presentations on Health and Safety and accident prevention.
- Assess equipment and machinery for potential unsafe conditions.
- Implement Health and Safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines.
- Assess risk and ensure adherence.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities.
- Generate reports on Health and Safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
- Provide recommendations for addressing H&S matters.
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement H&S plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and manage worker's compensation claims.
Key Skills of a Health and Safety Manager:
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety position.
- Ability to generate reports and create appropriate H&S policies.
- Knowledge of legal H&S guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and observational abilities.
- Valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- BSc/BA in Safety Management or a related field is desirable.
