Principal People are excited to be recruiting for an international manufacturing company to help recruit for a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team.
The role will offer you the opportunity to work in an operational environment where you will be dealing with Health and Safety duties and a fantastic opportunity to progress a career within Health and Safety.
This role is suited to people who are looking to progress in their Health and Safety career and the chance to work in a hands-on role for a people-focused business where you will be stepping into a role where you can develop further within the manufacturing field reporting to the General Manager.
Health and Safety Officer - Cwmbran – Up to £50,000 – Manufacturing
The minimum requirements for this role are:

• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Be able to communicate effectively.
• 1-3 years’ experience within a HSE Role previously
• Operational Health and Safety background (Manufacturing preferred)

Key duties of the role include:

• Operational Health and Safety support including risk assessments and accident investigations.
• Working on improving the site HSE Culture
• Helping with environmental matters when they occur
• Supporting the site Health and Safety Manager in his role Engaging with the site operational teams to help educate on safe working practices.
