Job description

Join our team at Educate 2Gether Training as a Health and Social Care Assessor. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to support learners in achieving their qualifications in the Health and Social Care sector. Your main responsibility as an Assessor will be to provide training and assessment for learners in the Health and Social Care field. Drawing upon your knowledge and experience within the industry, you will guide learners in successfully completing their qualifications in a timely manner. This will involve holistically planning, coordinating, mentoring, delivering, and assessing learners throughout their learning journey.

Key duties and responsibilities include conducting initial assessments, delivering face-to-face lessons in Slough, preparing teaching materials in line with relevant legislation, and acting as a course tutor/assessor for Health and Social Care courses. Additionally, you will assess learner evidence, provide developmental feedback, and support individual learner progression through tailored action plans. Accurate record-keeping, administration, workplace assessments, and observations will also be part of your role.

Essential criteria for the Health and Social Care Assessor position include holding relevant qualifications or possessing extensive experience in the field. You should also have relevant assessing vocational achievement qualifications, GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths, and up-to-date industry knowledge. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and e-portfolio systems, are essential. The ability to establish professional relationships, motivate learners, and ensure timely completion of qualifications are also vital.

Desirable criteria for this role include holding an assessor qualification, and occupational experience in the Health & Social Care sector. Experience in Further Education or a similar environment is also advantageous.
