Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Temporary Full-Time Health and Social Care Lecturer. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students enrolled in our Health and Social Care programs.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Health and Social Care topics, ensuring alignment with program objectives and standards.
- Course Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching resources.
- Student Support: Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including guidance on assignments, feedback on progress, and assistance with personal and academic challenges.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments to measure student learning outcomes, providing constructive feedback to support student development.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about developments in Health and Social Care practice, education, and research, and actively engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the institution to foster a supportive and innovative learning environment.
- Administrative Duties: Fulfill administrative responsibilities related to course management, such as record-keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting.
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
- Previous teaching experience in Health and Social Care or a related field.
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in Health and Social Care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
- Experience working with diverse student populations is desirable.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) is advantageous but not essential.
