Responsibilities of a Support Worker include:
- Working with a variety of female and male service user with physical disabilities, neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries and behaviours that challenge
- Assisting with personal care and moving and handling including using hoisting and wheelchairs in some instances
- Assisting with domestic duties and food preparation
- Managing behaviours that challenge both physical and verbal
- Accessing the community
- Contributing, arranging and assisting with a meaningful activities schedule
- Being a very positive and encouraging individual that promotes independence
Person Specification for a Support Worker:
- Minimum 6 months professional experience
- Able to work shifts including earlies, lates and waking nights
- Full UK driving licence is advantageous
- Previous experience working with Elderly people in a nursing or residential environment is essential
- Full right to work in the UK SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE
