Manchester or London, flexible, hybrid with UK travel

M50 3SP - hybrid, 2 days per week in the office

Salary circa £36K depending on experience

The role

You'll work closely with Health Content Editors to create engaging, insightful, and memorable videos and animations for a range of platforms and audiences.

You'll have a strong artistic eye and talent for storytelling in addition to experience of filming, animating, producing, editing, and distributing video across a range of platforms.

You'll be a self-starter working from multiple briefs, using your initiative to seek new challenges, identify areas for optimisation and identify opportunities where video will add value to our Health Content.

What you'll do

  • Research, plan and create scripts and storyboards with our Health content editors for videos and animations that support our content strategy.
  • Film, edit and distribute video, animation and audio content to the relevant teams and channels.
  • Add graphics, captions and special effects to videos as required.
  • Ensure all content created adheres to our Health Content processes so that it's evidence-based, trustworthy, accessible, and regularly reviewed.
  • Collect requirements from stakeholders and interview subject-matter experts for videos.
  • Coordinate video recording schedules with the Health Content team, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders (some travel to various locations will be required).
  • Manage and prioritise a backlog of stakeholder briefs for video and animation content.
  • Track metrics against key performance indicators and make recommendations where appropriate.
  • Manage our Bupa Health YouTube and SoundCloud channel, ensuring they're kept up-to-date and optimised.
  • Disseminate Brand guideline updates to the team.
  • Ensure all recording equipment is in good working order and work with the Digital Delivery Manager for Health Content to keep track of new purchases and other expenses.
  • Keep up to speed on current video and animation creation trends and practices.

You

  • Experience in a relevant role, such as video production.Strong creativity, video creation, storytelling, and editing skills - able to take ideas or briefs and build them into engaging content for our users.
  • Able to work with various teams and stakeholders on multiple projects at one time.
  • Know how to make subjects comfortable in front of the camera.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of pre- and post-production video techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of current video editing software such as Premiere Pro.
  • A good understanding of what makes digital Health Content work well for users and a broad interest in health and wellbeing. An understanding of the importance of health literacy and communicating medical statistics, facts and advice to consumers is desirable.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry would be an advantage but isn't essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery. You can use a range of tools and platforms to plan and manage your work.
  • Healthy, strong working relationship with stakeholders, and you work to understand their needs. You feel comfortable asking them questions and involving them in your process, you understand the value this brings to the end product.
  • You create content to meet user needs using date research and evidence to review and evaluate your work to make improvements. understand why content lifecycle management is important.
