Job description

Health Economics Manager South East England- Hybrid Working 2 -3 days in the office per week The Health Outcome/Health Technology Assessment team is responsible for securing national access for the company’s products at launch through Health Technology Assessment submissions to NICE, SMC, AWMSG, and other relevant bodies.
Situated within the Pricing Reimbursement and Access (PRA) function, they operate within the Northern European Hub (covering the UK, Ireland, and Nordic countries) and collaborate closely with a field-based Key Account Management team.
Responsibilities Develop health economic strategies and execute Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions to secure national access for products in the UK and Ireland, while also supporting activities across the Northern European Hub.
Craft UK health economic and HTA strategies for pipeline products and their line extensions.
Take charge of all aspects of the submission process for NICE, the Scottish Medicines Consortium, the All-Wales Medicines Strategy Group, and other relevant health technology assessment groups.
Oversee the selection, management, and support of pertinent market access agencies (UK) to draft HTA submissions and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs, with support extended to colleagues across the NE Hub.
Collaborate with the International Value, Evidence and Outcomes function to develop and review health economic models and associated materials (model reports, SLRs, NMAs, etc.) to align with the UK HTA environment.
Serve as the representative for Lilly's health economic case, addressing queries during NICE, SMC, and AWMSG appraisal meetings.
Review and monitor competitor/comparator HTA submissions for valuable insights, collaborating with Marketing/Brand teams, Medical, and Real-World Evidence.
Basic Requirements Hold a post-graduate master’s degree in Health economics (or equivalent with a strong Health economics component).
Possess knowledge of all technical aspects of health economic evaluation, including methods of cost-effectiveness analysis and assessment of patient quality of life and functional status, with the ability to apply Health economics principles to practical issues.
Have prior experience with NICE, SMC, or similar submissions.
Additional Skills/Preferences Proficiency in English (spoken/written) is essential.
Highly skilled in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
Familiarity with the NHS/local payer environment.
Experience across multiple therapy areas.
Demonstrated ability to initiate tasks independently and think creatively to provide innovative solutions.
