Job description

This role has a starting salary of £16,738.20 per annum, based on a 21.6 hour working week. This is pro-rated from the full time equivalent of £27,897 per annum.

This is a fixed term contract / secondment opportunity until 31st March 2027.

We are excited to be hiring a new Health Projects Administrator to join our fantastic Be Your Best Team. The team is based in Quadrant Court, Woking but we promote a hybrid approach to working, meeting collaboratively when required. The Health Projects Administrator will provide the Active Surrey Health team (specifically the Family Weight Management Programme 'Be Your Best') with administrative support. You will lead the Health administrative team to contribute to the delivery of an efficient, effective, customer-focused service.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who has good attention to detail, is able to lead a small team, and who has an interest or experience in supporting children, young people and families to lead a healthy lifestyle. The Administrator must be willing to perform and oversee routine tasks as well as undertake ad hoc project-based work. You will be reporting to the Healthy Lifestyles Officer. Key tasks are likely to include:

  • Leading on referrals process
  • Liaising with referrers
  • Responding to general enquiries about Be Your Best
  • Leading on administrative processes for Be Your Best sessions
  • Inputting data
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Raising purchase orders
  • General promotion

  • Ability to raise the profile of the programme and positively encourage families to participate in the service.
  • Ability to lead and guide on administrative tasks, with good IT skills including using email, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
  • Accurate data entry skills with excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to efficiently communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Integrity with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
