General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Health & Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £41,600 to £52,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.
Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders, responsible for the maintenance and management of health and safety and environment for the Land Systems business unit. This role requires the holder to maintain legal compliance of the business and site to health and safety environment legislation.
If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:
- Day-to day management of Health and safety for LS Business unit
- Verifying compliance to the GDUK ISO 14001 and ISO45001 management system
- Generation and management of site and trials Risk Assessments
- Carry out workplace inspections
- Carry out accident and near miss investigations
To apply for this role, you will require the following:
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- DSE Assessor
- Fire Risk Assessor
- Work at heights training
- Electrical safety training
- COSHH Assessment
- First Aid at Work Training
- Computer literate
