Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Package
Location: Waltham Cross, North London
 
About The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading construction company, for a site-based Health & Safety Advisor to be based on a £32 million project involving the construction of a 77kw data centre on a 33-acre site in Waltham Cross involving the fit-out of office spaces within the data hall, installation of steel gantries for mechanical and electrical equipment, extensive landscaping, and security fencing. The role includes managing health and safety activities, permitting, document management, and site audits, whilst reporting into the Health and Safety Manager & Project/Contracts Manager
 
In this role, you will be pivotal in implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategies, fostering a positive culture, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key duties include developing and monitoring safe systems of work, auditing project activities, influencing H&S culture, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and ensuring statutory compliance.
 
What you’ll Need

• A third-level qualification in H&S or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in large-scale commercial/construction projects.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• A conscientious, detail-oriented, and focused approach.
• A proactive attitude and excellent relationship-building skills.
• Preferably, a full clean driver's license.
• Excellent communication skills.
