Health & Safety Advisor

Location – Droitwich

Rate: £300 - £350 per day

Key Tasks:

• Support the Managers of HS&E in the promotion and use of H&S policies and procedures in conjunction with the project’s Policies.
• Assist the Senior and Manager of HS&E to lead the development of company H&S objectives, policies, procedures, and standards.
• To conduct Senior safety checks on the project with the H&S Advisors.
• Produce monthly and yearly HS&E performance statistics and reports.
• Produce and publish HS&E documentation to a high standard.
• Work closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and HS&E responsibilities.
• Assist the operational teams in developing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
• Support the operational teams in developing and reviews RAMS.
• Conduct regular and robust health and safety Inspections & Audits.
• Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported in a timely manner, and are also effectively investigated, contributing to Incident Review Boards.
• Assist Management teams in the development of health and safety related documents.
• Advise and assist in the identification of health and safety training requirements.

Essential:

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• NEBOSH Certificate (preferably Construction) or equivalent.
• Membership of relevant professional institution (e.g., Tech IOSH or above).
• Experience working as a Senior HS&E Advisor.
• Accident/Investigation Qualification (e.g., Kelvin TOPSET, ROSPA or NEBOSH HSE Introduction
• to Incident Investigation)
• Auditing to ISO45001 standard

Desirable:

• 3 Years practical HS&E experience.
• Experience of working in construction and heavy civil environment 
• Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Standards.
• Auditing qualification
