Our client based in Dunstable, Luton, and they are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join their team. The Successful candidate will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and be a Member of IOSH and have worked in the Food Industry as a Health & Safety officer for a minimum of 6 months. Our client is a coffee company looking for a candidate that can evaluate practices and facilities to ensure compliance with legal guidelines and best practice.
Responsibilities:
” Advise and support various teams working in the areas of engineering, production, warehousing and office functions.
” Identify and escalate re-portable incidents, trends, legal changes and other issues.
” Supporting and monitoring the day-to-day H&S of activities across the business
“Ensure regulatory requirements such as LOLER testing, risk assessments and COSHH are in place and adhered to.
” Be part of a large EHS team that supports environmental issues (waste, spills, energy) and supports ISO14001 certification.
” Ensure that you maintain and carry out risk assessments
” Advise employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid workplace risks and hazards.
Qualifications:
” Must hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in occupational Health and Safety
” Member of IOSH
” Solid `on-the-job` and proven experience, demonstrating relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
” Self-starter with an analytical and methodical approach to work.
” Ability to work in a collaborate way with all stakeholders.
” Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues and influence at all levels.
Desirable:
” Experience with SAP
” Experience with ISO Systems such as ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
” Ideally have a food manufacturing background, Production or Engineering
