Your responsibilities will include:
Health and Safety Compliance Officer We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Health and Safety Compliance Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our workplace is compliant.
Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per week: Approx 47 hours
Key responsibilities:
* A 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges.
* Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures for the industry.
* Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and standards in the industry.
* Compliance with employment.
* Investigate and respond to compliance issues, including incidents of non-compliance.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to the industry.
* Support Compliance Manager with the management of the company Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) - and maintain to the standard of ISO
* Assist with the creation, review and implementation of RA's, SSOW's and (where applicable) Method Statements
* Compile meaningful statistics and conduct trend analysis data relevant to the nature of the business and operations
* Contribute to the development of effective safety and compliance communications throughout the company by means of TBT's, Newsletters, Compliance Bulletins (Alerts), audits, site visits refreshing the notice-boards and other such initiatives
Conduct any Regulatory, Internal, or Customer prompted investigations to a comprehensive standard, with emphasis on both root and underlying causation, and present findings and actions
* Proactively develop relationships with compliance counterparts principal clients and engage in positive and continuous dialogue
* Work effectively with the company appointed people (and any external provider) to compose, develop and deliver suitable and sufficient safety training, commensurate with the objectives of the company HSMS
* Support the Compliance manager with essential ADR, COSHH and (if necessary) COMAH compliant requisites
* Assist in the co-ordinatation of site evacuation drills and alarm testing regime
