Health & Safety Environmental Manager

Our prestigious Client is seeking an experienced HSE to manage, maintain, implement, and communicate on a day-to-day basis, the company’s Health & Safety Environmental. To ensure both legal compliance is adhered to, and best practice is adopted to ensure that principles are robustly embedded, maintained and communicated across the site.  To provide professional advice, information and guidance on legal standards and best practice to all teams and individuals based across the site.

This role requires an experienced professional, with a more ‘hands on’ approach to the role as it will be based on site with a strong lean towards leadership and example.

You will be educated to graduate level, with GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.

Experience required:

• Experience of working with chemical management is ESSENTIAL
• NEBOSH Diploma (or recognised equivalent)
• NEBOSH Environmental Diploma (or recognised equivalent)
• Membership of IOSH or another recognised professional body
• Membership of IEMA or other recognised environmental body
• Thorough understanding of HS&E legislation
• Experience of working with and implementation of ISO standards (14001, 18001, 45001)
• PC literate – Word, Excel, Power point systems
• Great communication and presentation skills
• An ability to work with a variety of teams and coordinate their efforts
• Experience of working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Project management experience
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Passionate about safety and risk reduction
• Ability to work with detail and accuracy
• Experience of working with LEAN / CI principles in order to drive corrective actions and risk reduction
• Fluent in English
