Our client currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team in Aberdeen and Dundee. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all health and safety operations for their residential & commercial construction projects. You will work closely with project managers and field supervisors to ensure that all work is performed in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs for all construction projects
- Conduct safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees and subcontractors
- Stay up-to-date with the latest health and safety regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure that all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Manage and maintain safety records and documentation
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other relevant organizations
- Ensure that all safety-related incidents are reported and documented accurately and promptly
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in construction safety management
- NEBOSH and or IOSH Qualification
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with safety management software and tools
