A hugely successful and well respected main contractor with a busy project pipeline are actively looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to oversee a diverse range of new projects throughout the Home Counties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Health & Safety Manager to join a forward thinking business who specialise in the commercial, education, industrial and residential markets.

This is a contract role with the potential to evolve into a permanent position.

Health & Safety Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Promote safe working practices
• Keep up-to-date on Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Become a Role Model for Safe Behaviour
• Keep and maintain clear records to comply with company internal and external audit standards
• Liaising with the relevant legal authorities
• Attend relevant HSE meetings as and when required
• Report to PD
• Chair weekly meetings

Ideal skills and qualifications:

• Chartered Member of IOSH or equivalent.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001 standards.
• Proven experience in Health and Safety.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills in challenging situations.
• A positive work ethic and real can-do attitude towards all health and safety aspects.
• Experience and Knowledge with Basic I.T Applications and equipment.
