A hugely successful and well respected main contractor with a busy project pipeline are actively looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to oversee a diverse range of new projects throughout the Home Counties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Health & Safety Manager to join a forward thinking business who specialise in the commercial, education, industrial and residential markets.
This is a contract role with the potential to evolve into a permanent position.
Health & Safety Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Promote safe working practices
- Keep up-to-date on Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Become a Role Model for Safe Behaviour
- Keep and maintain clear records to comply with company internal and external audit standards
- Liaising with the relevant legal authorities
- Attend relevant HSE meetings as and when required
- Report to PD
- Chair weekly meetings
Ideal skills and qualifications:
- Chartered Member of IOSH or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001 standards.
- Proven experience in Health and Safety.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills in challenging situations.
- A positive work ethic and real can-do attitude towards all health and safety aspects.
- Experience and Knowledge with Basic I.T Applications and equipment.
