Successful, professional and innovative business supplying services and products to the healthcare sector are looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety professional to join their team in Bermondsey.
This is a varied role covering Health & Safety, Compliance and Business Support and we are therefore looking for an individual who is flexible and happy to assist in multiple duties in an SME business and Group initiatives.
Duties include:
- Working with the site Leadership team to drive the health and safety strategy and culture across the business.
- Ensure safety and health is implemented, managed, and developed in alignment to the ISO Integrated Management System, driving best practice.
- Carry out risk assessments and to identify, implement and monitor corrective remedial action in the form of safe systems of work.
- Ensure all COSHH risk assessments are reviewed to schedule.
- Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe manner to allow the activity of supply, manufacture, and installations to take place.
- Manage all relevant documentation of the Health and Safety function
- Auditing, inspecting, and reporting on health and safety performance.
- Working as part of the Group SHEQ Team, liaise with the SHEQ Managers across the network and the Group Health and Safety Manager
- Provide ongoing training and coaching for both new and existing staff.
- Create and implement and manage through KPI's the annual Business Plan and Operational Objectives
- Manage the Legal Compliance
- Additional General Administration Duties
To apply for this position you MUST have the following:
- NEBOSH qualification - ideally Diploma
- Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality experience
- Experience working with ISO accreditations 45001, 14001, 9001
- Experience of influencing peers and engaging key stakeholders
- Be flexible to support in various areas of the business
- Excellent problem Solving skills and experience
