Location: South West / Bristol area
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 + car allowance + benefits + bonus
Sector: Main contractor, new build

The Company:
Our client is a successful and fast growing regional main contractor specialising in new build construction projects across commercial, residential, care and education sectors typically on projects between £5m and £20m
Health & Safety Manager - The Role:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the business with a mix of remote, site and office work. You will be responsible for overseeing Health & Safety across all projects and sites as well as from a wholistic company view.
- Responsible for the SHE performance across all aspects of the Business.
- Ensuring industry leading standards of SHE are in place, communicated and
understood by all. - Mentoring and supplying guidance to the Senior Management team.
- Develop a strategy for SHE training requirements across the business.
- Halsall constructions primary point of liaison with the HSE.
- Develop and Maintain Company SHE policies
- Lead and Support the Business in its drive to attain SHE Accreditations.
- Ensuring the Directors and Senior Managers are kept informed as to the standard of SHE performance, management and practices within their respective teams.
- Produce monthly reports detailing current performance for all sites, areas that require improvement and areas that have been improved in the reporting period.
- Chair the SHE committee meetings and ensure agreed actions and objectives are implemented.
- Investigating/recording incidents, accidents and complaints.
- Support day to day activities of Project Teams inputting where appropriate to ensure
the highest possible standards are achieved. - Have responsibility for the SHEQ Advisors training and development.
Health & Safety Manager - The Person:
- You will have solid experience with either a national or regional main contractor in a dedicated Health & Safety Manager role
- Demonstrable experience of working across new build construction projects
- Able to work autonomously
- Experience with ISO systems
- Innovative - ability to identify better ways of doing things
- High calibre individual who is committed to quality
