Location: Chester/Ellesmere Port
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm)

Salary: £26,000 to £29,545 p.a. / pro rata (dependent on experience)

As a Health & Wellbeing Coach, you’ll support those furthest from the labour market to begin their journey towards training, job search, and employment. You’ll help participants develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage their health and wellbeing, using health coaching, wellbeing conversations, and behaviour change techniques to empower them to make positive lifestyle changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver group and one-on-one Health & Wellbeing services.
- Support participants in building self-awareness, confidence, and communication skills to establish a foundation for emotional wellbeing.
- Perform health-specific assessments to identify challenges and provide evidence-based advice.
- Develop training and support materials for both health and non-healthcare trained employees.
- Build and maintain key relationships with internal delivery teams across my client’s employability sector.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be kind, reflective, and self-aware, enjoying working with a diverse range of people. You should have experience delivering health-specific programmes that support participants with their health management, including managing anxiety, stress management, pain management, relaxation, and exercise classes. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with a firm belief that people have untapped resources that can be unleashed with high-quality, non-judgemental support.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in health promotion or public health.
- Experience supporting individuals with physical and mental health difficulties in a customer-facing environment.
- Excellent rapport-building skills with a range of customers and stakeholders.
- A health qualification registered with HCPC, BACP, or BABCP is advantageous.
