Healthcare Assistant

About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team at our Bristol PET-CT Centre, based in the Southmead Hospital.

You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCA’s, and administrative staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to work 40 hours per week. The successful applicant should have experience working in clinical settings or the healthcare environment.

Skills And Experience

To be successful in this role you should have experience in a Healthcare environment as you will be required to provide both administration and customer/patient support including chaperoning patients and assisting the Radiographers throughout the scanning process.

You will also have a commitment to some admin duties related to the patient pathway in line with standard guidelines. To be successful in this role they must have good communication skills both written and verbal, together with good IT and administration skills and the ability to understand and comply with radiation protection protocols.

You will need to be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and under pressure, meeting deadlines and turn- around times, and excellent patient care skills are essential.
