St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role is based in Taunton. You will join us on a full time basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £11.61 per hour (£22,400 per annum) plus 14% unsocial hours enhancement. This is an 18 month fixed term position to cover maternity leave within the team.

About the role:
We currently have a vacancy for a Healthcare assistant qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care within our In-patient team.
Our Healthcare Assistants provide outstanding patient care to those with a life limiting illness, making each day count for those who rely on our services. A caring, enthusiastic person, you will thrive on being part of a patient focused team. Our in-patient unit is a 24 hour a day service, and shifts will reflect this working on a rotational basis, so flexibility is required of all staff.
Your day to day work will include:
- Providing specialist palliative care that is patient-centred, holistic and quality driven.
- Providing support and advice for families, carers, and bereaved relatives.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team under the direction and leadership of the registered staff, supporting them with operational and clinical activities in order to meet the needs of patients and their families
