Position Overview: As a Healthcare Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide personal care, assistance and support to residents whilst making a real difference to their lives every day .
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care
- Administer medication and record on correct documentation.
- Prepare food and drink to support nutrition and hydration.
- Support with household tasks, like washing, ironing, housework, assisting with shopping, and community activities.
- Recognise signs of illness or changes in people's physical or emotional well-being, and follow the correct channels for help and support.
- Provide comfort to those at the end of their lives and their families, offering sympathetic and empathic support.
- Look after people as if they were your own family while still respecting professional boundaries.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Healthcare Assistant in UK.
- In-Date DBS.
- Completed mandatory training in the last 12 months.
- Previous experience in personal care, medication administration, and supporting daily living activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide empathic support, especially during sensitive situations.
