We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a male in his late teens, who lives with his family in a rural location close to Skegness and requires support with his complex care needs throughout the night on a 1:1 basis.
Throughout the night, you will make close observations, providing personal care, moving, and handling and attending to his clinical care requirements when required. You will ensure his safety and provide a peaceful environment promoting a restful night’s sleep.
During the day he attends school and has a great support network of family and friends, who visit him regularly. He has a good sense of humour and enjoys the interaction with those around him.
He is none-verbal and communities via facial expressions, it is important you become familiar with his methods of communication to ensure his needs and wants are met. Patience and understanding are key qualities for this role.
Due to the location of where he lives it would be preferred if you do drive and have access to a vehicle as it’s a rural area.
Our ideal candidate will be pet friendly as our service user does have pets at home
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
Desirable Experience
- PEG Feeding
- Tracheostomy Care
- Oxygen management
- Seizure management
We have the following shifts available;
- Part Time Nights- 2-3 shifts per week
- 8:00pm – 7:00am
Take a look at our payrates
Weeknights: £12.50 per hour (£137.50 approx. per 11-hour shift)
Weekends: £13.50 per hour (£148.50 approx. per 11-hour shift)
