Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker

Nurse Care 24 is seeking dedicated and compassionate Agency Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to join our team.

Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality care and support to patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and residential care facilities.

- Assist with daily activities such as personal care, dressing, feeding, and moving/handling.

- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.

- Assist with medication under the supervision and guidance of healthcare professionals.

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patients' comfort and well-being.

- Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations and activities.

- Foster a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control procedures.

- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Requirements:

Mandatory:

- You must be over 18 to apply

- Right to work in the UK

- 6 months UK based experience in healthcare settings.

- To undertake an Enhanced DBS check and relevant training.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Empathy and compassion for patients of diverse backgrounds and conditions.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Preferred:

- Full UK Driving Licence

- Training in First Aid, Basic Life Support and Moving & Handling

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
