Role
As a Healthcare Technician you will be delivering home oxygen and long-term condition services to patients in the community on behalf of the NHS. Provide equipment training and service instruction alongside risk assessments to enhance patient safety. Delivery of respiratory equipment and cylinders.
The depots you will be working with are:
- West Midlands (Bromsgrove and Erdington)
- North West (Preston and Leigh)
- Wales (Chirk and Cardiff)
- Yorkshire (Bradford and Hull/Barnsley)
Duties and responsibilities
- Respond to emergency 4 hour and same day calls for assistance to patients in accordance with Service Level Agreements
- Working rota’d hours within the team across the seven-day-service provision, including on-call duties
- Completion of installation, servicing, and removals of oxygen and healthcare equipment with some technical problem solving in line with our Service Level Agreement with the NHS.
- Delivery of respiratory equipment and cylinders.
- Completing oxygen piped in installations as required
- Maintenance of all accurate asset control including submissions of daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
- Maintain safe practices when loading and unloading vehicle all equipment
- Maintain high standards of driving proficiency at all time in in line with company policy
- Follow good housekeeping practices in the regional depots and company vehicles
- Accurate recording and timely submission of all necessary documentation and processes to ensure activities are completed in full
- Flexible approach to working times to ensure patient satisfaction in line with company service level agreements and customer key performance indicators
- Show patient empathy and understanding whilst remaining professional at all times
- You will abide by all processes and procedures relative to the Environmental standards and complete all necessary training and updates as required

- Full Driving license - To include vehicles in Category B. No more than 6 penalty points on driving license when appointed
