You will work within the Rostering Team to ensure and enable the effective utilisation of the HealthRoster system. The post will be primarily focused on medical rostering, although the post holder may at times be asked to support non-medical rostering (agenda for change staff), and therefore a significant responsibility will be interpreting job plans and translating these into medical rosters. Updating the roster system accordingly to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Ensuring changes are in accordance with policies and any issues raised are analysed and addressed promptly. Other main responsibilities include supporting the team with all aspects of operational performance, from ensuring the system is continually updated and maintained, to supporting with future improvement projects. Being an expert user of the rostering system and preparing and delivering training to all levels of Trust staff. Providing support and advice in all aspects of the system, to both clinical and non-clinical teams, to ensure the most efficient and accurate use of the system. Liaising with the provider over system issues or new releases and acting as first line support to users to resolve issues where possible, or escalating as required. Assisting in the collection and analysis of highly complex data including shift patterns, medical job planning activity and working hours in order to develop, test, deploy and support end user requirements and ensure accurate pay. With the support of our Rostering leadership team, contribute to policy development and update as necessary based on the feedback from review meetings and end service users. Making constructive suggestions, as to how the system could be improved for end users while continuing to meet demands of the service. Work with departments to obtain data that assists them in reviewing their current staffing establishments and schedules, and to ensure rosters are efficient and meet the 24 hour service demand. Provide advice and support to staff whose working conditions, patterns and hours may change as a consequence of the system being implemented. Identify, log, analyse and report potential/actual issues and risks, taking corrective action following discussions with the line manager and escalate as required. Assist the roster leads with the production of ad hoc reports and analysis. Organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality.
