Are you an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic airport environment? Join our team at Manchester Airport and become a vital part of our specialist team working on heavy airport vehicles and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of specialist heavy airport vehicles and plant equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, conduct troubleshooting, and implement effective repair solutions.
• Conduct scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure vehicles and equipment meet operational requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a Heavy Vehicle Technician, which can include experience with HGVs, PCVs, municipal vehicles, or military vehicles.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and vehicle electronics.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software for vehicle troubleshooting and repair.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Relevant technical qualifications and certifications are desirable.
