About the Role
The impact of cost of living is affecting many people who are turning to foodbanks for help. Our Helpline Advisors are there to provide advice and options whilst making sure they get the urgent help they need.
Advisors explore the reason behind the problem, research local support, check if there is any income they are missing out and arrange foodbank support. Advice is written up on our case management system and feed into local and national social policy work.
About you
You will need excellent IT and communication skills, attention to detail and able to research online resources. You will work well in a team but also independently, working to targets whilst giving an excellent customer service experience for our users. Whilst previous experience of working on a helpline will be helpful, training will be provided for the right person.
