We require a Herdsperson/Lead Milker on a well-established country estate, milking 400 Holsteins producing milk on a premium contract that rear all their own replacements.
We require somebody who is cow focused and able to carry out the following on a day-to-day basis;
• Lead milker
• Herd Health
• AI
• Adhoc foot trimming
Training can be given on the last two points.
We need somebody that can provide support to the Herd Manager and the 2IC and must be able to follow protocols and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively within this friendly, well-established team. Commitment, be able to take responsibility and problem solve are the qualities we are looking for.
The cows are milked through a fully automated 50-point rotary parlour with ADF.
