Herdsperson to join team

We require an experienced herdsperson who has experience of managing dairy cows, preferably on a block-calving grazing system (but this is not essential) to join a highly motivated team of three others who share all duties such as milking, calving, rearing replacements, feeding on this new green-field site dairy. 
 
A total of 400 cows are split into spring and autumn block calving groups and are milked through a new 25:50 parlour with ACR’s, ADF, feeders, heat detection, milk meters and auto ID / shedding facilities. Cows are housed in two new cubicle sheds and are bedded on mattresses and sawdust. 

Grassland is managed on a rotational grazing system with good tracks and infrastructure.
  
All milking cows are fed TMR during the winter and partly on the shoulders of the season. Milk is sold on to Arla on a premium contract. The farm is also an active member of a local discussion group, which you would be encouraged to attend also.
 
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role and have extremely high standards with a particular eye for attention to detail. Someone who is enthusiastic and a good communicator as well as a willingness to take responsibility are essential qualities for this role. Experience in AI and foot trimming would be preferable.
