Hgv Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Castleford area. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver (CAT C+E) to join the team on days.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am start times.
Pay Rate: £13.55 to £15.19 per hour PAYE.
Location: Castleford, WF10.
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
* Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport empty pallets to and from designated locations.
* Secure loads using ratchet straps to ensure safe transportation.
* Collaborate with onsite personnel for pallet loading and unloading activities.
* Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
* Have at least 2 years of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Be accustomed to using a curtainside vehicle.
* Be proficient with the use of straps.
