Hgv Class 1 Ro-Ro Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Rotherham area. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Ro-Ro Driver (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, start times between 05:00-06:00am
Pay Rate: £14 per hour PAYE.
Location: Rotherham, S60.
Job Type: Temporary to permanent.
please note that there is a 4 hour induction for this shift which will be paid for upon completion of the first week of working.
The role:
* Operate Class 1 vehicles for Ro/Ro (roll-on/roll-off) transportation, moving 30-40 yard skips filled with wood to our clients processing facility.
* Execute an average of 12-hour shifts ensuring safe and efficient transportation of wood for power generation.
* Uphold excellent customer service standards, addressing client needs professionally during pick-ups and deliveries.
* Assist in the loading of empties onto the vehicle at the end of each shift, ensuring readiness for the following day's operations.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
* Have at least 2 years of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
* Proven experience in Ro/Ro operations.
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Excellent communication skills.
