HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver

Flooring Superstore is an award-winning online and offline flooring retailer. We sell a wide range of floor types including specialist brands focused on smooth flooring and artificial grass. After starting out online back in 2012, we have gone from strength to strength and have grown considerably in size. We began opening up retail stores over 7 years ago to complement our online presence. Since then, we have opened 40+ stores nationwide, with many more planned to open in 2024 and beyond.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an HGV2 Driver to work at our Bristol Depot.

About the Role:

As an HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver working directly for Flooring Superstore, you’ll be delivering rolls of carpet, grass and palletized wood flooring to our customers. Working as a one-person team you will be confident in a manual working environment. You will ensure high standards of Health and Safety, Customer Service and Legal Compliance at all times. This is a multi-drop role working in local areas and involves manual handling due to the nature of the products being delivered.

Our drivers’ key responsibilities:

• To deliver the highest standard of service and be a brand ambassador for the business.
• Provide an efficient and ‘First in Class’ delivery service to our customers.
• Drive safely, obeying the rules of the road and following the correct company procedures
• To always adhere to the company's Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• To contribute effectively in our team environment.
• Complete a daily vehicle and equipment pre-trip and post trip check using our Defect reporting processes and systems.
• Ensure all customer delivery details are captured accurately via use of PDA system.

Hours:

44 hours a week, Tuesday - Friday shift from 6:30am or 4:30am plus some overtime as and when required.

Flexibility is required to ensure availability at key operational times, this may include a reasonable amount of additional paid overtime hours to meet business needs.

What you will bring

• Full Driving License (HGV Class 2).
• Holder of Driver CPC and current Digi card.
• Multi drop, Home delivery experience preferred.
• Good geographical knowledge
• Good driving skills and knowledge of current Road Transport Regulations.
• Polite, courteous, respectful and helpful.
