SalaryManpower is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver to work for our public sector client.
Location: Bridgend
Contract: Temporary
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5.45 am - 1.30 pm
Hourly rate: 11.45 (NHS Band 2)
The role
You will assist with the distribution of goods and supplies from the depot in Bridgend to various multiple locations across Wales.
Responsibilities of a Driver
- To deliver stock and supplies from the depot to various locations across Wales.
- Unloading and loading of metal cages (handballing)
- To know and understand the scheduled delivery routes that have been allocated.
- Comply with the road transport legislation.
- Accurately record each delivery and collection according to current work instructions
- Comply with driving performance systems and execute daily/weekly vehicle checks.
- Previous experience of driving a Class 2 vehicle
Essential requirements:
- Valid Class 2 Licence - Category C required
- Valid CPC & Tachograph Digi Card required
- Experience of driving a Class 2 vehicle
- Ability to be able to load and unload the vehicle
- A good understanding of current commercial transport legislation
The role offers an immediate start subject to satisfactory references and DBS check is required. Manpower pay for the cost of a DBS check.
