We have a diverse range of clients, and our scaffold contracts service includes supply and erect of system scaffolding, from initial site survey and risk assessment, design and method preparation, through to on-site assembly and dismantling.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting scaffolding materials to and from sites throughout Scotland, mainly in the Central Belt and East Coast regions. This is a vital role in our company's operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a flatbed truck, to transport goods
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with logistics manager and customers regarding delivery status or any issues that may arise
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
-Digital CPC Drivers Card
-Hold a valid ALLMI Crane Certificate
- Minimum hold a HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as an HVG Class 2 HIAB driver- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate a flatbed truck or other specialized vehicles
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo
