Due to further expansion, Route 2 Distribution are looking for x 2 pallet network Multi Drop delivery drivers.
This post will be constant dayshift with the candidate having availability to work 1 in every 4 Saturdays. Driving around PH/DD & KY postcodes delivering pallets on a kerbside drop and go service for our customers.
The role requires a self starter, working on their own initiative with good interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders on all sites and customers at point of delivery.
Good communication skills are critical as is being a strong team player.
Applicants should ideally have experience of pallet network haulage, hold a current Class 2 License, up to date DCPC and Digital Tacho Card.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secure and undamaged
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the company
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking oil, tires, brakes, and lights
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate a tail lift.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
