HGV Class 2 Timber Delivery Driver

We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Timber Delivery Drivers to meet our clients' requirements.

This is an exciting career opportunity offering friendly hours, regular start times and an excellent working environment delivering timber to the trade.

• Monday – Friday work with the option to work weekends
• HGV Class 2 Timber Delivery Driver experience
• Temp to Perm Opportunity available for the right candidate

HGV Class 2 Timber Delivery Driver will need:

• Cat-C Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
• Experience with ratchet straps essential
• Experience in a fast-paced multi-drop environment
• Excellent customer service skills and good literacy
• Full UK Driving licence, Class 2 entitlement held for 2 years
• Able to work to tight deadlines
• A good geographical knowledge of the region

PLEASE NOTE, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS FROM ANYBODY WHO HAS NO EXPERIENCE OF DRIVING THIS CLASS OF VEHICLE.

HGV Class 2 Timber Delivery Driver Duties will include:

• Driving company vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
• Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
• Dealing with customers face to face in a polite and courteous manner
• Multidrop deliveries
• Off-loading and loading customer and company vehicles
• Timely and safe delivery of loads to customers

We offer a true, honest, and personal service and you will deal directly with the business owner. Plus, attractive minimum rate of  pay of £13 per hour (plus holiday pay at a rate of 12.07%) paid weekly via PAYE.
