About the Role
· To carry out duties at all times in accordance with the Transport Directive, Drivers Hours and any other related legislation. – Please note this a dual role, driving an HGV and also a Van.
· To take rest periods and breaks in accordance with the Transport Directive and Drivers Hours.
· To carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety.
· Ensure that any vehicle defects are reported promptly and when identified.
· To complete all relevant paperwork in relation to vehicle checking.
· To load and unload goods using manual handling aids as and when required.
· To transport goods in a safe manner, ensuring they are properly secured to eliminate damage whilst in transit.
· To safely transport goods to and from specified locations according to company delivery schedules.
· To communicate effectively with branch in relation to traffic issues or other possible delays.
· To obtain signatures from customers upon completion of deliver to confirm receipt of goods.
· To be courteous and polite when dealing with customers, suppliers and work colleagues.
· To collect goods from Suppliers as and when required.
· Notify management of any accidents, license endorsements, parking tickets, vehicle damage and major maintenance issues.
· Ensure that the company vehicle is clean and well maintained at all times.
· Ensure fitness to drive and alert the company of any issue with regard to fitness including any prescribed medications that might affect driving ability.
· Not to undertake any secondary employment or other unpaid work that could impact on working time and driving hours.
· Wear the relevant PPE at all times and as required.
· Assist with other Warehouse duties as and when required.
About You
· Valid Driving Licence and entitlement to drive allocated vehicle.
· Driving in accordance with Highway code and all other relevant regulations
· Completion of all required vehicle checks and paperwork.
· Adherence at all times to Health and Safety and Environmental requirements
· To offer excellent Customer Service
· Adherence to the Transport Policy and Procedures Manual

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday Working 6.30 am to 4.00 pm.
