Primary role:
To ensure the service is carried out in accordance with the Borough Council’s contract specifications. Work within Health and Safety legislative requirements. Ensure full compliance with Urbaser Quality and Environmental procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver/Loader operative, tasks will include driving or loading refuse collection vehicles, which will include, domestic and commercial waste.
Candidates will need to be reasonable fit as loading may be required on a day-to-day basis
Experience is not necessary as full training will be given through an onsite induction which covers a general H+S induction as well as reversing assistant and manual handling training specific to the job role.
Days of work are Monday to Friday 06.00 to 14.30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Class 2 driving license required as well as fully up to date CPC card.
This position is for a “pool” driver/operative so you will be covering different aspects of the job daily, so it is not a driver specific role. You will be required to drive when needed and load when needed.
