SalaryOur client is looking for an HGV HIAB driver to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate would be expected to operate out of multiple branches and locations.
MAIN DUTIES
- To undertake the safe, secure and efficient movement of materials and equipment required for the business.
- Performing deliveries and collections to and from the customer sites, and other locations as required.
- Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times to customers, the general public and other road users.
- Check equipment is loaded/unloaded in a safe manner.
- Ensure that the total load does not exceed vehicle weight limited.
- Use approved methods to secure the load of the vehicle.
- Check paperwork to that delivery/collection loads are correct.
- Ensure that all equipment on the vehicle is accounted for.
- Visually inspect equipment being loaded and unloaded.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Holds a full driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on Licence.
- Holds a HGV Driving Licence.
- Holds a CPC Licence.
- HIAB Licence is essential or this role.
- Holds a Digi Taco Card.
- Good personal presentation.
- Able to carry out manual handling tasks.
- Candidate would be expected to drive any vehicle from 3.5T to 26 ton.
- Carry out all other reasonable tasks for the needs of the business.
- Minimum of 6 months commercial HIAB experience is essential.
Working hours
- Monday to Friday.
- 7.00am to 5pm.
- Occasional Saturday may be required.
