A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced HGV Mechanic / Heavy Technician to join a well–established family–run business with garages and recovery operations in Bedford
The role involves both workshop and mobile duties.
The successful experienced HGV Mechanic / Heavy Technician will join this hardworking and welcoming team. As an HGV Mechanic / Heavy Technician your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
HGV routine inspections, servicing, maintenance and fitting
Use of diagnostic equipment
Will include Tail lift inspections and weight testing
Will be required to drive HGV vehicles so candidates must hold minimum HGV2 / LGVC licence and be prepared to upgrade to HGV1 / LGVCE (paid for by the company)
May include welding duties but previous experience is not essential and training will be provided if necessary.
To be considered for the role you must be self–motivated and able to work on your own initiative. The company requires all candidates to have recent HGV Mechanic / Technicians experience on all types of commercial vehicle and preferably tail–lift experience.
Shifts: Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 1700 (No weekend working)
Salary: 40,000 – 47,000 depending upon qualifications and previous experience
Vetting: Our client will undertake vetting including referencing up to 5 years. They will also require a full NPPV Level 2 Police Check.
