SalaryWe are currently recruiting for a company based in Histon who are recruiting for a HGV Mechanic to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
They’re looking for someone who has previous experience within a similar role and working hours will be on a 45 hour a week basis Monday to Friday.
Typical duties would include:
- Completing maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring readiness for MOTs.
- Ensuring the completion and proper sign-off of service and defect paperwork.
- Conducting comprehensive vehicle services and inspections, reporting on vehicle condition where required.
- Liaise with 3rd parties regarding external vehicle maintenance.
- Diagnosing and reporting any faults, defects, or potential issues in vehicles.
- Work aligned with company health and safety policy.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
The successful candidate:
- Previous vehicle maintenance experience.
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair, or an equivalent qualification. (Preferable)
- Will be enthusiastic, proactive and take pride in their work.
- Good communication and team working skills.
