Form of workWe are excited to be working with a leading industrial company who are recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic or Supervisor. This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the company vehicles and trailers. Within this role, you will be dealing with planned scheduled maintenance aswell as supporting with breakdowns and repairs.
Role
- Manage workloads within garage.
- Planned 6 weekly safety inspections of fleet.
- MOT preparation and presentation for test.
- Immediate and reactive response to daily breakdowns (both mechanical and lifting equipment related) and smaller running repairs when necessary.
Person
- Experienced HGV mechanic; a minimum of 5 years' mechanic experience working on various vehicle types.
- Experience of trucks and trailers
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent time keeping and prioritisation skills.
- A good understanding of health and safety, always promoting a healthy & safe environment.
- Physical dexterity: the role is very "hands on" and requires a level of physical fitness.
