HGV Mechanic Responsibilities:As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, you'll be reporting to the Shift Supervisor and be responsible for:
* Undertaking maintenance and repair activities on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers.
* Diagnosing faults, conducting tests, and executing permanent and complete repairs.
* Completing paperwork and procedures related to warranty, contract, and retail work.
* Performing preventative maintenance to minimize unnecessary customer costs.
* Any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager.
HGV Mechanic Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
* City & Guilds or equivalent qualification to NVQ level 3, preferably in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
* Experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles, with a focus on Commercial Vehicles.
* An organized and methodical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
* Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data.
* Full and current UK driving licence (LGV licence preferred but not essential).
* A friendly, confident, and professional manner with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure, both as part of a team and independently.
HGV Mechanic Package:
* Salary £40,000 - £55,000 pa depending on experience and time of shift
* Day and night shifts available depending on your preference
